The Carbon Offroad Mega Pro Winch Hook is the latest product from the design team at Carbon Offroad. Completely designed, engineered, FEA tested and finished in house by our team, we put all of our collective knowledge and experience together to build a simple, functional and cost effective winch hook which was specifically designed for winching activities.  This is not a hook that is out of the parts bin from the local lifting and rigging supplier, this hook is completely 100% made from scratch by our local design team and overseas manufacturing facility. We did the design, 3d printed the prototypes, tested form, function, fit and usage, FEA process to make the hook as strong as it could be while removing material where it wasn't required.  The I-beam hook construction is unique to the Mega Pro Hook. We cast the alloy gate to make it lightweight and durable. The hook is manufactured by a forging and heat treating process using 40cr material. This material is cost effective, easy to work with and responds well in forging and heat treatment processes. What results is an almost indestructible hook that will last a lifetime. We also then process the finish in a durable powdercoating process, similar to the process that your exterior aluminum windows in your house go through, this process is known for long term resistance to UV degradation and protection of the base material.  This hook can be stowed against the fairlead either flat on both side or on it's end, hook gate up, this gives you the ability to snap on a soft shackle or tree protector loop once handed and walk the rope out to the anchor point.  The mounting pin is a complete through pin design which is externally secured by a circlip making it simple and easy to mount to your winch rope.  We really tried hard here to make this hook to the highest standard at the best price possible so that you and you mates can access good gear for reasonable prices. We did this by committing to a proper design, development and manufacturing process that allows us to keep costs down and get product on the shelf in good quantities.  The hook is safe to use on any winch up to 20000lb.  The rubber pads on the hook are a press to fit arrangement. They have been designed to be removable so that once you have installed the hook, you can arange the logos in a fashion that suits your particular setup. Once in place you can use some rubber cement glue to permanently secure them.   This product is an Australian Registered Design under design number 202116716.  

The Carbon Offroad MegaPro Tow hitch receiver recovery point is a premium multi fit recovery point allowing 5 different mounting orientations to suit all types of 50mm receiver hitches whether they be shallow or deep style.  The recovery point is manufactured from high grade 6061 T6 Aluminium and is carefully CNC machined to a beautiful finish. The recovery point is then anodised in a high grade Type 3 Hard Anodised finish which allows years of trouble free use. At only 1.2kg it is significantly lighter than other similar options on the market. The tow hitch mount recovery point also has a smooth edged radius cut into the shackle mount, allowing safe use with a synthetic rope soft shackle attachment. It is also designed to accept a 4.25T size Steel bow shackle as well. Either attachment method is available and safe with our recovery point.  Horizontal and vertical shackle point mounting options.  One of the great features of the Carbon Offroad tow hitch mounted recovery point is that it is versatile. You can use a soft shackle or steel bow shackle with it and you can also mount it with the mounting eye facing upwards or facing sideways. Some examples of how this can help you in setting up a recovery:  With the mounting eye facing up the shackle is free to move in the lateral plane, this means that if you are in a situation where the recovering vehicle is not able to get directly in front of the vehicle being recovered, the shackle is able to bend towards the angle of pull without strain or side loading on the hitch eye.  With the mounting eye facing out sideways, the shackle is free to move in the vertical plane, if the recovery vehicle is up hill or down hill from the vehicle being recovered, this then allows the shackle to line up with the angle of pull whether it be above or below the mounting point position. The Carbon Offroad TANK 15000lb electric winch is a force to be reckoned with.    A new generation of winches joins the Carbon Offroad offer. TANK is synonymous for indestructible, bulletproof and powerful, which is just what this winch is. TANK is also associated with heavy, which is something this winch is not!  We understand that building the ultimate offroad rig often requires a lot of time, effort and additional parts once it comes off the factory floor, and this all adds weight. Sick of reaching all the way underneath your rig to unlatch the winch hook from those recovery points located way underneath your bullbar? I know we got pretty sick of it! The winch utility hook is primarily designed to bolt into the fairlead bolt hole and provide a point for the winch hook to attach to which is easy to access and most of all, looks amazing on the front of your rig. For winches where the mounting bolt for the winch uses the same hole as the fairlead mount, you could simply mount this hook off to one side or wherever will work for your setup. Depending on the thickness of the material you are going through you could space out or simply grind the bottom part of the hook mount recess to suit allowing for a tight cinch up on the mounting point The beauty of this little hook is that it can also be used for an endless number of other uses around your rig as a standard hook for hanging items in a canopy or organising items on the back of a cargo barrier. The Carbon Offroad 5M tree protector is a versatile bit of gear. Most of the cheaper brands on the market only offer a 3 metre long strap, and frankly they are useless! In our experience a 5M strap will get you slinging even the biggest trees on the market. The Carbon Offroad Monkey Fist Winch Extension Rope is an important winch accessory. You've probably come across plenty of times where that tree or anchor is just a little bit too far away. It's also handy to reduce the distance of an anchor if doing a double line pull. Our winch extension being rated a minimum breaking strain of 7000kg is suitable for use with all of the winches in our Carbon Winch range. Made from UHWMPE Fibre + Polyester Outer Braided Sheath with velcro packing strap.  The current batch also contains a luminous fibre to help visibility at night under torch or vehicle lights.  MBS - 7000kg

Time for a fairlead upgrade, what do you think? The new Carbon Winch Scout Pro 30mm thick large radius rope outlet fairleads have arrived. Get some beef on your rig, make a statement or simply upgrade from your standard fairlead for a more supportive fairlead for your rope. This is a 3mm steel powder coated bracket that allows the user to remotely mount the Tank series winch control box using a single mounting point to the fixture. The adjustable mounting slot allows for adjustment of the position of the control box bracket, It is also long enough to accept more than one mounting bolt should you wish. We would recommend an 8-10mm mounting bolt. The dimensions are 150 x 100 x 15mm We would recommend using through bolts with washer and nyloc nut for the mounting of the control box to this plate. Cap head bolt of four quantity of 5mm x 30mm total or 25mm thread length is the required minimum length for control box mounting.

In the past, this generally required a winch with steel cable and a heavy steel bullbar to carry it, but in todays market, there are smarter options and this includes the winches. Yes you can still buy a cheap heavy winch made from castings of solid steel if you like that sort of thing, but technology has improved, materials have improved and this has led to a winch being designed and built like the TANK. Billet alloys machined on CNC mills, Alloy castings make up the gearbox housings and main frames of the winch, critical components such as the winch drum are still made from steel, but this winch also features an aesthetic quality that is almost unmatched in the market. The TANK winch features a system unseen before in the winch market. The winch motor and drum frame mount are assembled as one unit at the factory, then it undergoes real life pressure leak testing to 20PSI on a custom made jig specially designed for this test, simulating the same pressure as a depth of 14 metres underwater!  It must pass this test before moving further down the assembly line.
