After more than 3 years of R&D we have finally got our Amarok 2.5 inch IFP monotube Coilovers and 2.0 IFP Rear shock kit in production from Carbon Winches & Offroad Products Australia.   This shock setup has been on vehicles and tested here in Aus over the last few years, after 4 versions of prototyping and fine tuning we have been able to get all allowable travel with stock and aftermarket UCA installed for both V6 and 2.0L Roks. We decided to run with a 2.0 rear shock mainly due to the 2.5 inch inverted housing fitment causing clearance issues on tanks. Given the fact that the piston in our shock is much larger than stock and all twin tube shock options, there is no detriment to running a smaller body shock on the rear. The coil spring is custom made to our specifications. It features a progressive rate winding which provides excellent on-road daily driving comfort which the Roks are known for, so you don't lose this with this upgrade, and combined with the preload adjustable coil seat, the ability to dial in the ride height exactly where you need it. This piggyback adaptor allows the Hardkorr wiring harness to be used with the Volkswagen Amarok without cutting or soldering. Some vehicles require a vehicle-specific piggyback adaptor to allow auxiliary lights to be installed using a standard wiring harness. This may be because the light bulbs are inside a sealed dust cap, or because the factory headlights use LED or HID technology. SuperSprings Explained  Suitable for Utes, Vans, 4WD Wagons and most leaf-sprung vehicles The Problem When a vehicle is loaded to full manufacturer�s specifications and the weight is distributed beyond the back axle, the centre of gravity moves towards the rear of the vehicle resulting in rear-end sag.  This rear-end sag minimizes front wheel road contact reducing steering control and breaking efficiency, causing the rear to fishtail and scrub the tyres. With the vehicle under constant load it is inevitable that the shock absorbers will �bottom out� risking puncture and constant replacement. The Solution SuperSprings� act in parallel with the existing spring pack sharing the total load on the wheel. This unique design has the effect of progressively stiffening the main suspension throughout its total travel. SuperSprings� are  designed to counteract the effect of lean and drift when cornering by providing progressive support. The more pressure exerted on the suspension the greater the counter force exerted by SuperSprings�. How they work As a vehicle with rear leaf springs comes under load the factory springs react as they are designed to. The centre of the springs moves vertically causing the leaves to flex and �flatten� out. This movement in the factory springs activates the SuperSprings� through the rollers at the end of each leaf. Because the SuperSprings� rollers are under tension, a movement in the factory spring causes them to move, seeking a new point of least resistance. This simple roller principal allows the SuperSprings� to activate and deactivate automatically, free of any manual adjustment. Other products only work on the back half, resulting in an overworked front half and the possible collapse of your suspension.
