The Carbon Offroad Mega Pro Winch Hook is the latest product from the design team at Carbon Offroad. Completely designed, engineered, FEA tested and finished in house by our team, we put all of our collective knowledge and experience together to build a simple, functional and cost effective winch hook which was specifically designed for winching activities.  This is not a hook that is out of the parts bin from the local lifting and rigging supplier, this hook is completely 100% made from scratch by our local design team and overseas manufacturing facility. We did the design, 3d printed the prototypes, tested form, function, fit and usage, FEA process to make the hook as strong as it could be while removing material where it wasn't required.  The I-beam hook construction is unique to the Mega Pro Hook. We cast the alloy gate to make it lightweight and durable. The hook is manufactured by a forging and heat treating process using 40cr material. This material is cost effective, easy to work with and responds well in forging and heat treatment processes. What results is an almost indestructible hook that will last a lifetime. We also then process the finish in a durable powdercoating process, similar to the process that your exterior aluminum windows in your house go through, this process is known for long term resistance to UV degradation and protection of the base material.  This hook can be stowed against the fairlead either flat on both side or on it's end, hook gate up, this gives you the ability to snap on a soft shackle or tree protector loop once handed and walk the rope out to the anchor point.  The mounting pin is a complete through pin design which is externally secured by a circlip making it simple and easy to mount to your winch rope.  We really tried hard here to make this hook to the highest standard at the best price possible so that you and you mates can access good gear for reasonable prices. We did this by committing to a proper design, development and manufacturing process that allows us to keep costs down and get product on the shelf in good quantities.  The hook is safe to use on any winch up to 20000lb.  The rubber pads on the hook are a press to fit arrangement. They have been designed to be removable so that once you have installed the hook, you can arange the logos in a fashion that suits your particular setup. Once in place you can use some rubber cement glue to permanently secure them.   This product is an Australian Registered Design under design number 202116716.

The Carbon Offroad Monkey Fist Winch Extension Rope is an important winch accessory. You've probably come across plenty of times where that tree or anchor is just a little bit too far away. It's also handy to reduce the distance of an anchor if doing a double line pull. Our winch extension being rated a minimum breaking strain of 7000kg is suitable for use with all of the winches in our Carbon Winch range. This winch rope is a UHMWPE braided core with polyester outer braid sheath for abrasion protection and UV resistance. As well as looking awesome this rope is very nice to handle, similar construction to climbing rope but using the light and strong UHMWPE rope fibre core to provide the additional strength required for winching activities. This rope is a great upgrade for any 4x4 winch for most models it will simply bolt into the existing lug where the steel cable is connected to the drum.

Carbon Offroad Super Long 3m 15T Universal Utility Soft shackle

Sick of reaching all the way underneath your rig to unlatch the winch hook from those recovery points located way underneath your bullbar? I know we got pretty sick of it! The winch utility hook is primarily designed to bolt into the fairlead bolt hole and provide a point for the winch hook to attach to which is easy to access and most of all, looks amazing on the front of your rig. For winches where the mounting bolt for the winch uses the same hole as the fairlead mount, you could simply mount this hook off to one side or wherever will work for your setup. Depending on the thickness of the material you are going through you could space out or simply grind the bottom part of the hook mount recess to suit allowing for a tight cinch up on the mounting point The beauty of this little hook is that it can also be used for an endless number of other uses around your rig as a standard hook for hanging items in a canopy or organising items on the back of a cargo barrier. Some examples of how this can help you in setting up a recovery:  With the mounting eye facing up the shackle is free to move in the lateral plane, this means that if you are in a situation where the recovering vehicle is not able to get directly in front of the vehicle being recovered, the shackle is able to bend towards the angle of pull without strain or side loading on the hitch eye.  With the mounting eye facing out sideways, the shackle is free to move in the vertical plane, if the recovery vehicle is up hill or down hill from the vehicle being recovered, this then allows the shackle to line up with the angle of pull whether it be above or below the mounting point position. A snatch strap is a piece of equipment used to help in the recovery of vehicles bogged in sand or mud. The Carbon Snatch straps are manufactured from Nylon webbing that is capable of approximately 20% stretch under load. This stretching property allows the strap to store kinetic energy, which is used to recover vehicles from being stuck.
